Hanoi (VNA) – tỷ lệ kèo nhà cái Vietnam National Industry-Energy Group (Petrovietnam) on June 6 signed an engineering procurement and construction (EPC) contract for tỷ lệ kèo nhà cái O Mon 4 thermal power plant, marking a significant step in tỷ lệ kèo nhà cái development of tỷ lệ kèo nhà cái flagship gas-to-power Block B – O Mon project.

Located in tỷ lệ kèo nhà cái Mekong Delta city of Can Tho, tỷ lệ kèo nhà cái project plays a strategic role in securing energy supply and accelerating tỷ lệ kèo nhà cái transition toward clean energy.

tỷ lệ kèo nhà cái plant will use combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) technology with a designed capacity of 1,155 MW and is expected to go operational in December 2028.

tỷ lệ kèo nhà cái O Mon 4 Thermal Power Plant will bring Petrovietnam’s total installed capacity to over 9,3000 MW, accounting for around 10% of tỷ lệ kèo nhà cái country’s total power capacity. Once completed, tỷ lệ kèo nhà cái plan will provide clean and stable power to tỷ lệ kèo nhà cái national grid and contribute to promoting tỷ lệ kèo nhà cái economic growth.

tỷ lệ kèo nhà cái Block B – O Mon project includes offshore gas extraction at Block B, gas pipeline and thermal power complex in tỷ lệ kèo nhà cái Mekong Delta, including O Mon 4 seen as a important downstream component. tỷ lệ kèo nhà cái project faced delays for nearly two decades.

In 2023, tỷ lệ kèo nhà cái Prime Minister assigned Petrovietnam to lead tỷ lệ kèo nhà cái O Mon 3 and O Mon 4 thermal power plants to synchronise tỷ lệ kèo nhà cái construction of downstream infrastructure with upstream gas supply.
